Highlights of the Annual Orono Fair September 10 | 2016

DSC01869

I have attended the Orono Fair before but the last time I was there was about 7 years ago, I decided to take my two wonderful children this year and they really had lots of fun. The Fair Rides was the best part for them and the Farm Animals. There were lots of people; families with their children, everyone seemed like they were having a great day.

The Highlight of the day for me was the Large Pumpkins, the Bunny Rabbit and the Bee Hive.

The Bunny Rabbit was so sweet, didn’t even flinch when touch. So soft and gentle, If only all of human kind was as soft and gentle as the
Bunny Rabbit.

The Abduction Ride
Kids love this ride so much that they were going on more than once. This ride was shaped like a Space Ship.

DSC01846

There were a few food trucks but we did not purchase from this truck because the kids wanted to buy from another food—They ended up getting  French fries and Pink Lemonade .

Sidewalk Art by this young lady. I have never seen her before. She uses Chalk to create art on the street. Splendid! She looked so happy doing what she was doing. She did not object to me taking a picture of her.

LOOK AT THE CROWD DOWNTOWN!

NOW, CHECK OUT THE PICTURE AT THE BEACH SO MANY PEOPLE!!

DSC00839

PROBLEM. NO PARKING. NEAR THE BEACH IF YOU ARRIVE TOO LATE.
BE THERE BY 7 AM.
Too early of a start for you? Well, plan to park several blocks away and walk.

IF YOU WANT TO PARK NEAR THE BEACH DO NOT SHOW UP AFTER 10 AM IN THE MORNING WHICH IS WHAT HAPPEN TO US. I HAD TO PARK ON SOME SIDE STREET NEAR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT OVER AT DARCY STREET THEN WALK TO THE BEACH.

DSC00841

YES.

PLAN TO LEAVE EARLY

IF YOUR GOING TO COBURG BEACH.

BE THERE BY 7 AM OR SUCK SALT!

We passed through the Downtown at 1:30 PM and asked two Police Officers where can we find Parking, They said, “Good luck.” That’s when we realized we were in trouble. When a Police Officer say “Good Luck” you know your not going to find any parking.

Then we asked a woman on the street she look at us and said “Ahh! Oh my! Oh! You won’t find any parking around here.”

DESPITE THE HASSLES WITH THE PARKING IT WAS MORE THAN WORTH IT. IT WAS SUCH A GORGEOUS DAY AT THE BEACH.
