Sienna Guillory Starring in the Movie: “Eragon”
*So, it’s snowing today by the lake my daughter and I are not prepared we will be off later heading out to the store to get some winter gear, ahh….snow. I don’t mind the snow just can’t take the wind by the lake. Last night it was extremely windy by the lake, but that’s what you get living here. For some reason because I am from the Caribbean I just needed to live by some form of water, Oh, my gosh! When I was living in Jamaica we had the river not too far from the house where I lived, the beach was driving distance. Now, I live by the lake, it’s nice during the summer but there’s over 500+ families living by the lake and the strangest thing is they don’t use the lake during the summer.
We all have a fighting spirit, what is your cause and what are you fighting for?
Indomitable Spirit (meaning): It would be used to describe someone who has a very strong character and will not give up. They cannot be subdued or overcome and will keep on trying. It might be applied to someone like an explorer or mountain climber who keeps going in difficult circumstances, where others would give up.

Medieval movies are my all time favourite movies to watch. Why? They represent bravery, courage, difficult choices, sacrifices, tenacity and an Indomitable Spirit to fight for what we believe in. These movies can tell us many things about ourselves. The ability to overcome challenges, obstacles, and injustices. Personally, I am the kind of person that never gives up. I will not stop until I get what I want and what I want to achieve, I will get there in the end. Like Gwyneth Palthrow says in her new song "Country Strong” “If you push me in a corner I will come out fighting.” I always tell my children to never give up on anything, the minute you give up on anything in life, is the minute you lose your purpose.
Individual
It is my belief that people are born with different levels of a indomitable spirit. Also if we are raised in a positive environment where we see our parents meet objects and deal with them until they are ultimately overcome, we will tend to have more of these qualities ourselves. I will add to this by saying that sometimes when our environment is negative or when we find ourselves in difficult situations we strive even harder to overcome our obstacles and challenges. http://www.yakma.co.uk/Indomitable_Spirit.htm
People are either born to be determined or not. Which one are you? I am extremely determined to a fault. You can delay me on my quest or my mission in life but you will never stop me. I will go away for awhile but I will come back stronger than ever before, and I will get what I want. To just borrow a line from one of the medieval movies, You must have the “Heart of a Lion.” That’s just me. You can’t teach people to be tenacious, to be determined, to have a fighting spirit, it has to come from within. This drives us more especially when we know we have been wronged. We all have a fighting spirit, but some more than others.
This is a true story. Once when I was ten years, old I fought not only to save my own life, for freedom and for a better life. The odds were stacked against me. Why would anyone including a Judge believe a 10 yr. old? I had to present my case to a Judge, no one was allowed to be with me because the Judge felt they could influence what I said. I just told the truth. Yes, I won my right to freedom and a better life at only 10 yrs.old. At that age I felt deeply passionate about my cause. Did I have any doubts that I would succeed? No, I had no fear, I knew God was watching over me. Which is how I ended up living with the person I called my “Angel on Earth” my Grandmother who greatly influenced my life, I miss her everyday, she was such a wonderful woman, kind, gentle, loving and caring. Not only was I born with a fighting spirit my life experiences have given me that fighting spirit.

What do you believe in? What has happened in your life that you are willing to fight for?” What do you feel passionately about that you are willing to fight for even if the odds are stacked against you?” Many people fight for many things, but always remember it must be meaningful and it must be for the right reasons because if you fight for something with wrong intentions you will not succeed. The universe will not help you. It must be something important and meaningful, like fighting to have a better life, a better job, your independence, fighting over an injustice, for love, for peace, for your children, for your freedom, for yourself. But your intentions must be pure and true and you will succeed. God and the Universe will help you and what you fight for. But If your intentions are wrong and you are not sincere about what you want, you will not succeed.
Below, I have listed movies that I have watched or will be seeing on the weekend and these movies depict so much bravery and courage and the inner strength and people who had a fighting spirit and who fought hard to overcome major trials and injustices. If you are not a Medieval Movie fan, “don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!” Oh, my gosh! I guess people who like these movies are people who are wedded to tradition and who deeply, deeply loves history and I do immensely, I can’t really not see myself not watching these kind of movies. I think the reason why people don’t like some of these movies is because they can be a bit on the violent side, my only comment to that is, “You have to have the Heart of a Lion.” I say that now, and I cry like a baby when I watch these shows. Oh, my gosh! My daughter who is 11 yrs. old she loves Eragon, so yes, she’s into Medieval movies too. She does have an adventurous spirit.
Anyway, Enjoy the movies! and keep and open mind. OMG!
1.What I’m watching this weekend:
The Count of Monte Cristo
A young man, falsely imprisoned by his jealous "friends," over the woman he loved escapes and uses a hidden treasure to exact his revenge.
This is a powerful story about Love, Friendship, betrayal, fighting an injustice and for freedom. Great story line. I have seen this movie once several years ago, but I can’t remember parts of it or how it ended, so watching it this weekend will be like seeing it for the first time. (You can find this movie at Blockbuster for rent if they don’t have it at your local store ask them to bring it in from another Blockbuster store or it’s available for purchase or at your local library)

Eragon -Eragon is a movie about fighting for peace, and been extraordinarily brave, who doesn’t want world peace and this movie depicts this greatly. It takes a great deal of Courage to fight for peace and for what you believe in, even if you could lose your life for your cause. 2.What I’m watching this weekend:

Cate Blanchett starring in the movie “Elizabeth the Golden Age” Elizabeth reigned as Queen of England for 40 yrs. until 1558.
The Golden Age explores Elizabeth’s grip on power, as Spain’s Phillip II, Mary Queen of Scots and her feelings for Walter Raleigh, during a defining epoch in the monarch’s reign, threaten her. Great story ever told. I have watched Elizabeth three times now, still when I watch the show it feels like I am watching it for the first time.
