My son doesn’t make a good roommate at all. Oh, my, gosh. It’s Saturday morning and he wakes me up so early, he’s like clock work, wakes up the same time he goes to school. We need to work out some roommate issues, this morning he woke me up and said, “Mom there’s something in my nose.” Oh, my, gosh! Ahh….but I love him, it’s okay.

Presiding over it all are Patrick and Brenda Brennan, who have made Quentins such a legend – but even their lives are not as they seem.
Ella is a strong and warm young woman living in the new Ireland. Now Ella Brady wants to make a documentary about Quentins but as she uncovers more of what has gone on, she is forced to confront a devastating dilemma in her own life…the story tells of her ill-fated love life. Stormie Omartian Prayer of the Day
When You Need to Stand Strong in Times of Weakness
Lord, I look to You to strengthen me today. In myself I feel too weak to face the trials and challenges in my life, but in You I have a fortress in which to dwell that cannot be moved or penetrated. You gird me up and lift me above the shaking ground to a place that is solid like a rock. I invite You to display Your strength in me right now and give me peace beyond all imagination. The knowledge of Your power on my behalf gives me great joy.
The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.

Movie Watched This Weekend: “Leap Year”

Okay, so last week in my last blog post I wrote that because I am on the single path, I am trying to watch every single, dating relationship movie I can find. So, this week “Leap Year.” Heard it was a great movie decided to watch it.
Synopsis
Anna Brady from Boston is a planner that stages apartments for Realtors. Anna has been dating cardiologist, Jeremy, for four years and they are buying a high standard apartment in Davenport together. Anna expects Jeremy to propose to her on a dinner date but he gives her a gift instead, after which he travels to Dublin for a congress. Anna decides to meet him in Dublin on the February 29th and propose to him in accordance with an old Irish folklore tradition from the Fifth Century of leap-year proposals by women. However, her airplane is forced to land in Wales due to bad weather and she is not able to find a connection since the Dublin airport is closed. She decides to travel on a supply vessel but is forced to disembark in Dingle due to a storm. Anna walks to the only restaurant and inn and hires the unfriendly owner Declan to drive her to Dublin.
Anna
I love this movie because for Anna she’s been dating this Jeremy guy for 4 yrs. but he hadn’t proposed to her, he’s just stringing her along, this became evident when the only reason he did propose to her in the end was out of selfish reasons. He just wanted to get into one of the hottest Upscale New York Apartment and he can only get in if he decides to get married, which is so lame. Jeremy is stiff, uptight and boring and selfish and so set in his ways, he likes to attend these boring parties that Anna doesn’t like at all, too stuffy. Anyway, she travels after him to Dublin and ended up meeting Declan who owns an operate a Inn & Restaurant.
Declan
Declan is a great guy because he tells her the truth, he appears to be quite serious on the outside. He’s a very passionate guy but to outsiders he appears unkind, and a bit harsh with his words, but they are misreading him. He cares deeply but, he hides his true feelings hence him coming across as aloof or cold sometimes. Underneath though he’s got a great heart. Declan lets her know Jeremy doesn’t want to marry her he’s just stringing her along if he wanted to marry her he would have done so already. Declan basically tries to show the “Hypocrisy” of her situation, which is, if Jeremy really loved her he would have proposed along time ago. Anna feels, hurt and disappointed by Jeremy’s indecision, doubts and hesitation to get married which really proves that he was not ready for a serious long-term relationship. Of course, she didn’t believe Declan. She told him it was hurtful for him to say that and that Jeremy did indeed love her and want’s to marry her. Basically, Declan says, “keep dreaming.” Oh, my, gosh! Anyway, Declan he’s a great guy because he’s kind hearted and speaks from his heart, he tells the truth even if he knows it’s going to hurt her to hear it. He tells her anyway, which is what I really like about him. He doesn’t beat around the bush. He tells it like it is, “a spade is a spade” so to speak. Declan knows that Jeremy doesn’t love Anna, but it’s extremely difficult for him to prove that to her. Eventually she comes to realize the truth of the situation though.
Anna eventually realizes that although it hurts to hear Declan tell her the truth about anything she does wrong she realizes that she needed that kind of honesty in her life. Jeremy always say yes, I love you, yes, that’s okay, yes, that’s fine, yes we will get married, but he never manage to commit, finally when he proposed he did so out of selfish reasons, but there wasn’t any sincerity to his words, he just said the words “I love you” because it sounded good to say. Eventually though Declan realizes he’s falling for Anna and he doesn’t know how to tell her, he’s scared to tell her how he really feels. This makes the movie interesting to watch because the audience is waiting for him to tell her how he really feels. My question is: “Why is it so hard for some guys to express their feelings?” Because the world won’t fall apart if they do, just a thought.
Anyway, Anna is real accident prone and Declan was always amused by her. The movie is a great watch and yes, it ended happily for both, but not without many mishaps, delays and setbacks to the start of the relationship.
Enjoy!
Okay, so in the preview you will notice when Declan and Anna kissed that was when they realized they liked each other. Still, Declan didn’t tell her how he felt.
